Thank you for your good work. It's high time that the world knows the truth: that 1 million Jews living in the Arab countries became refugees due to ethnic cleansing by these Governments.

This is a wonderful project and I am glad it is being done. Too many people wish to discredit the Jewish people and deny the persecution they have faced for eons. This collection of "evidence" is great ammunition for the deniers.

I attempted to send an email, but got a system error.

The Republican Jewish Coalition had a screening of a film you put together - I unfortunatley missed it. Do you have the film available for purchase?

The Arab countries have never wanted to face up to the truth and have attempted to distort history.

i've read your site but i didn't quite understand what you mean.. where do these refugees come from, i mean what's exactly the names of these muslim lands you mention. This is so weird because i usually hear about palestinian refugees and not jewish. anyway i understand that the situation of being a refugee is tremendously hard. it's always good to have people concerning about this problem thank you very much and keep up the good work please!

Hi Juan,
Thank youf for your interest in Jewish Refugees. The term
"Jewish Refugees", as used on this site are Jews who came from Arab and Muslim lands - primarily, but not limited to, Morocco, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Yemen, Tunisia and Libya. They are called refugees because they fled from persecution at the hands of Arabs/Muslims after the creation of the State of Israel was formed, although some were made to leave before 1948.

Jewish refugees are different than palestinian refugees because of one main reason - they were absorbed into the existing populations, mostly in Israel, but in France, the United States, Canada, and South America, and became relatively prosperous. The only reason why you hear about the palestinian refugees any longer is because they were left in squalid conditions by the leaders of the Arab countries. Arab palestinian refugees have virtually no rights in the countries that they live in - they can't get citizenships, so they can't work and they're forced to live in refugee camps. Had the Arab countries absorbed the palestinian refugees, there would be no problem today.

One main differencess between Jewish refugees and palestinian refugees is the relative affluence they had before they became refugees. Arab palestinians had few possessions. Some lost their homes, but many sold their homes and their properties before leaving, often for inflated prices. Jewish refugees from Arab lands were made to leave their homes and bank accounts behind - the value of their possessions is estimated to be worth upwards of $100 billion.

Israel, at it's inception in 1948 had about 806,000 Jewish citizens. This country absorbed an estimated 900,000 Jews from Arab lands, between 1948 and 1967, an incredible defeat. Contrast this to day, where the Arab world has over 200 million people and has done nothing at all to absorb the estimated 3-4 million ancestors of the Arab palestinian refugees.

There is a fundamental injustice in forgetting about the Jewish refugees - there were more Jewish refugees, they were far more successful before they became refugees and they're far more successful now because Israel absorbed them and brought them to affluence and because they were given a chance. The Arab palestinians have not been given a chance by their Arab "brethren", so they still live terrible lives. It's sad that the Arabs haven't done anything for them and continue to refuse doing anything for them. It's a fundamental injustice and should be stopped...
